Kokuyo PERPANEP Notebook A5 – Textured, Smooth or Ultra Smooth Paper Types

Did you notice the three symbols on the cover of the PERPANEP notebook? Each symbol indicatesa paper type (and a series).

Let’s breakdown the three different types of paper, below.

ULTRA SMOOTH is also known as the TSURU TSURU series and contains 96gsm paper.

Additionally, each paper type serieshas 5 layouts depending on what sort of style you prefer writing or drawing on:3MM Grid, 4MM Grid, 5MM Grid, 4MM Dot Grid,6MM Steno.

Features of thenotebook
The notebook uses a cheesecloth binding,which enables itto open flat. The cover is manufacturedusingrayon thread and paper made from wood pulp to create a lovely surface that feels smooth to the touch, but still with some texture and rigidity to the cover.

FSC Certified Paper
Whilst we all love a good notebook, we do need to be mindful that we’re not hurting the environment and contributing to a global issue so it’s reassuring to know that the cover is made withrecycled pulp and the paper inside isForest certified; this means that the paper is made using responsibly sourced wood fiber, free of any endangered tree species and what’s more, the paper is whitened without the use of chlorine – so no nasty harsh chemicals.
