Hobonichi Pencil Board [Naoki Ishikawa] Denali in the Midnight Sun #2

About Naoki Ishikawa

Born in Shibuya, Tokyo, in 1977. Completed the doctoral course in Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts. With an interest in anthropology and folklore, he has traveled to various places, from remote areas to urban cities, continuously exhibiting his works. In 2008, he received the Newcomer’s Award of the Photographic Society of Japan and the Kodansha Publication Culture Award forNEW DIMENSION(AKAAKA Art Publishing) andPOLAR(Little More). He has also won the Domon Ken Award forCORONA(Seidosha) in 2011 and the Photographic Society of Japan Award for Best Work forEVEREST(CCC Media House) andMarebito(Shogakukan) in 2020. He received the Kaiko Takeshi Nonfiction Award forThe Last Adventurer(Shueisha).
