The Moomin Hobonichi Pencil Board for A6 Size (Mysterious Hat) is made to fit the A6 Original techo. It prevents ballpoint pens from slipping on the page and keeps indentations from forming, making for a much more comfortable writing experience.

The Moomin series was created in 1945 by Tove Jansson—Finland’s beloved author, painter, and artist.

Set in Moominvalley, the stories follow the gentle and curious Moomintroll; the dream-chasing and romantic Moominpappa; the warm-hearted and nurturing Moominmamma; the mischievous and strong-willed Little My; and the freedom-loving, solitary Snufkin—a cast of unique characters embarking on delightful adventures.

This design features an illustration from the novel Finn Family Moomintroll. Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Sniff discover a mysterious hat lying on top of a mountain. The back of the board shows Moominpappa trying on the hat and admiring himself in the mirror.

The back has markings at 1 mm intervals along the long edge, so it can also be used as a ruler.

The corner of the pencil board includes a “Today” tab, which will act as a bookmark to show which day you’re on if you put it between the pages of your techo.

Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was a Finnish-Swedish writer and artist, who achieved worldwide fame as the creator of the stories about the Moomins, written and illustrated between 1945 and 1977. The Moomin family and their friends live an adventurous life in the idyllic and peaceful Moominvalley in harmony with nature. They are a family of white and roundish trolls with large snouts.
